I've used this Dove body wash for quite awhile and although it won't eliminate the need for lotion, it does an incredible job of cleansing your skin without stripping it raw. Ohio winters are super, super drying, enough to make my skin peel after a shower. I search for body washes that don't make my skin react so violently and this one is one of the best. It's right up there with Oil of Olay, if you've ever tried theirs.



This nutrium version is a kicked up version had does do a better job of moisturizing. Also, during the winter months, I use an in-shower body lotion, you just apply it and rinse it off. This body wash, combined with either Oil of Olay's or Neutrogena's in-shower body lotion is bar none for an exceptionally moisturized body.



Try this - I've ALWAYS loved the original scent of Dove's soap, especially since Girl Scouts in the 4th grade when we made crosses out of it for Easter decorations! :) This body soap has that same, wonderful scent so each and every time I use it, those wonderful memories come flooding back as well. A "little dab will do ya" on this product - the lather is amazing and I just love it! Great, great product, glad to have it. HIGHLY recommend!

Almost every woman has them and of those, all of you want them gone. I will not say that this cream will give you baby like skin again, let us face it, pass a certain age and that thought is history. But, we can still have beautiful skin by how we take care of ourselves. I will say that I have seen a difference by using Bodi Shape. I have 3c/4a hair. I HATE having to mess with my hair every day. Unfortunately, if I want to keep the length of it it's crucial to moisturize daily. I finally took the time to put all my hair into two strand twists, so protective styling is out of the way and I don't have to worry about styling.



I've been looking for a light daily moisturizer that will not create a lot of buildup on my hair and last all day. I'd read that glycerin is a humectant so instead of being a moisturizing source it's main benefit is drawing moisture from the air and sealing it into your hair. I didn't think this would work for my hair so I'd been avoiding it. On my last order I accidentally left this in my cart :-/.



What a happy accident! Since I had it I decdied to give it a shot. I took a 4 oz spray bottle and put in maybe 3/4 oz of glycerine, then the rest filtered water. A few drops of lavender oil for scent and some Jamaican Black Castor Oil because I wanted a heavy oil to coat and protect my ends and scalp. Oh my goodness....I saw the change on first use. I usually wet my hair in the shower, wrap it in a towel for like 15 minutes after to let the water really absorb into the twists. Whip that towel off and immediately spray all over with this stuff. My scalp is well moisturized but not oily, my hair stays springy and soft all day and there's a noticeable reduction in frizz. NO BUILDUP on my hair. I thought this would be impossible with the castor oil, but I can press and squeeze these twists all I want....the oil residue on my hair is virtually nonexistent.



I LOVE this stuff. My hair is actually absorbing the oil and retaining moisture. I've done plain water, coconut oil, aloe vera juice, SheaMoisture and at least a dozen other store bought moisturizing products.....I've never had this happen with any of these moisturizing supplements. I don't feel like I'm drowning my hair in product now which is awesome. Since I use so little glycerin per mix, this bottle will probably last me months and months. Highly recommend for highly texturized hair care!

Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?) They say the best time to apply a moisturizer is right after you get out of the shower, while your skin is still damp. However, when I jump out of the shower, my mind is on drying my hair and getting dressed and I always forget to put lotion on. Nivea has the solution for me- do it BEFORE I get out of the shower! On first glance it seemed counter-intuitive to rinse off a moisturizing lotion. But when I thought about it, I realized it's no different than what I've been doing with my hair conditioner my entire life.



This product is designed to be applied after you use and rinse off whatever soap or body wash you clean with. Then you smooth on the body lotion and rinse it off. *Ladies can get double duty from the product by using it as a shaving gel.* NOTE: make Nivea the last step in your shower routine. You don't want to be rinsing out your shampoo with hands that have lotion all over them. Also- don't put any on the bottom of your feet because the stuff is a little slippery. It's a good idea to warn your significant other too because the shower stall will be a tad slippery for the next user as well.



I received both the Normal to Dry formula and the Very Dry skin formula to test. I'll be posting this review on both products so you have a comparison to go by. I found them to be equally effective. My skin was soft immediately after showering, still soft later that day and I had none of the dry flakes my winter skin would usually have even by the following morning. Furthermore, it doesn't leave the least bit of sticky residue that would often accompany a heavy lotion. The Very Dry skin formula is noticeably thicker out of the bottle than the Normal. For me that made it easier to dispense in the slippery shower setting. The thicker consistency makes it easier to control the "portion size" and not use more than needed. For that reason, I'd recommend the Very Dry skin formula as a better value but I really like both of these products.



My favorite thing is that it gives me an excuse to stay in the shower an extra minute or two!

After contacting Amazon about my dissatisfaction, Amazon immediately refunded my money despite the fact that it was past the 30-day Prime window. I am very pleased with Amazon's performance in this matter.



I also received the comment below from Viva Labs. I contacted the company by email (no response) and by phone. On the phone, the customer service representative agreed to send me a complimentary bottle to replace the one that was spoiled. I received the new 54-oz replacement bottle in the mail today and was horrified to see that it was in even worse shape than the one I had originally. All of the oil at the bottom of the jar was yellow. There were large specks of debris (not coconut fibers) in the oil, and there was white mold growing on it! I cannot believe that this is the product replacement that was sent (I tried to post additional photos of this, but was unable to do so while updating my review). At least the first one went bad after a few months of use. This one arrived spoiled! I will not be purchasing any more products from Viva Labs. They clearly have a quality control problem.

I ordered t​his item ​in a bulk size knowing that coconut oil has a decent shelf life and that I would use it fairly quickly. I usually order Nutiva brand, but the price and the description of this oil were right, so I decided to give Viva Labs a try; however, this item has​ ​turned rancid within only two months of receiving it and I still have more than half of the container left. I cannot believe it has gone bad this quickly. I have stored it properly and have used a clean utensil to transfer small amounts to other containers for daily use. It has all gone bad. The oil is now in a fully liquid state, but the oil is yellow. At the bottom of the container is a filmy, cloudy, stringy yellow substance that is spreading and rising upward (not the natural look of melting/solidifying coconut oil). The oil also has an off-putting smell. I have included a few pictures of the container (some against a white wall for comparison) and have tried to capture the phenomenon I just described. I cannot use this oil for cooking since I am afraid that it is unsafe. I do not know that I would feel comfortable using this oil even on hair or skin since it apparently has mold and/or other contaminants in it.



When I received this item, the "Best by" stamp was obscured but it looked to say "15 Aug." The lot number is #14227. I purchased it at the end of Oct. 2014 and it is now only the beginning of January 2015. It should have still been usable, but it absolutely is not. Since I bought it through Prime the 30-day return window has closed. I am a PhD student and throwing away this much money really hurts. I am very disappointed with the product and would not order from Viva Labs again. I will return to Nutiva since although it is more pricey, it appears to be of a much higher quality than Viva Labs.
