-Before I bought the Roll On Bottles, I read the reviews. I noticed there was a common complaint of not being able to put on the plastic roller-ball top securely/all the way on the bottle.
-I decided to not boil the tops to attach them to the bottles like was hinted in the reviews, but decided to experiment in getting them topped myself. I felt boiling the plastic tops before cramming them in the tops of the bottles would be too time consuming.
-However, once I filled the bottles, I used a smidge amount of the oils I used to fill the bottles to smear thinly around the outside of the plastic part that would push into the bottle (in a sense, a thin oil barrier between the plastic and the glass).
-It worked perfectly! I had to push semi-hard, but the top slipped into the easily enough, while being in there tight enough where it wouldn't slip out or leak.
-Because I used so little to coat the bottom part of the cap, there was no leakage in the 3 bottles and the roller ball once primed works perfectly.
-I have filled four of the bottles so far. Some of them tipped onto it's side and there has been no leaking, the screw on black caps fit tightly. The roller ball only needed to be primed at first use, and has been able to be applied evenly and thinly. The more you roll over the same spot, the more oils are applied to your skin, so you can apply a very thin layer, or make it a little thicker by rolling it on longer in multiple layers.
-I have not tried to take the roller ball plastic top out to reuse the bottle yet. But if I cannot succeed in reusing the bottle, the amount of money I used to buy a pack of six, is definitely worth buying another supply, should I need more.
